Day 1

August 25th
5.00pm Meet at residence (Pollock Hall)
6.00pm Pre-theatre dinner in nearby restaurant
7.30pm oyal Scottish National Orchestra; Evening of Spanish Music (including Ravel's witty masterpiece "Lheure Espagnole" (Usher Hall)

Day 2

August 26th

9.00 – 11.30am Introduction to  evening dance theatre (Muriel and Jeremy)
11.30 - 1.00pm Language skills session (Muriel)
2.30 - 4.00pm Theatre or Art gallery
8.00pm "Dust and Light" & "Rasa" Alonzo King Lines ballet (Festival Theatre)

Day 3

August 27th

9.00 - 10.30 Introduction to evening performance (Muriel and Jeremy) for everyone
11.30  - 1.00pm Language skills session (Jeremy)
2.30 - 4.00pm Language skills session (Muriel)
7.30pm "Agua" Pina Bausch's Theatre (Edinburgh Playhouse)

Day 4

August 28th
9.00 - 10.30 Introduction to evening performance and our poetry and perfomance event (Muriel and Jeremy), then rehersals
2.00 - 5.00pm Edfest options: Book festival, Fringe or gallery outing
8.00 Surprise theatre evening; to be selected after seeing reviews

Day 5

August 29th
9.00 - 12.00 Edfest outings: art gallery/exhibition. Fringe or book festival
12 noon finish!

Alonzo King Lines: American contemporary dance and traditional Indian Classical music meet in a remarkable collaboration. “A vision that remains inscribed in memory” Le Monde

Pina Bausch “Agua” dance theatre. Pina’s productions are multi media often involving elaborate sets and eclectic music “a joyous homage to a tropical paradise” “the most influential figure in European contemporary dance”.
