Don’t just take our word for it…
this is what past students have said

A night at the theatre A night at the theatre

Events were brilliant, a choice of all genres, concert, theatre, ballet – really good

I will do it again. Tutors were excellent 'subject-sources' at all costs!
I felt welcome and special since the very 1st day. Tutors were
approachable and made the environment a relaxed one to
motivate students. Fun way to learn!

It was excellent to have Muriel and Jeremy to show us the Festival ropes,
I would have been a bit lost without them!… The organisation was excellent
and had just the right mixture of structure and spontaneity so essential
for something like the Edinburgh Festival

Great location [accommodation], affordable, clean, great environment,
great for trip's purpose

Day out at Aurthur's Seat
Beautiful views of Edinburgh’s famous Arthur's Seat from the residence

I’m so glad I happened to come across the Edfest Summer School’s website!
An interpreter for Italian and English, I originally had been looking for an English
language course specifically aimed at professional linguists. But then I decided
to go for the mixture of studies and fun Edfest Summer School is sure to offer –
and found I could also practice my English skills meanwhile enjoying the
Edinburgh Festival’s unique programme of theatre, music and performances.
And thanks to the helpful theoretical information our tutors gave us during
lessons we were able to understand the shows we would attend a lot better –
and enjoy ourselves even more!

Muriel and Jeremy, thank you once again for everything: for the excellent
preparation of the tutorials, for booking the tickets for those exceptional
events on time, for the Poetry Night, for being such good company...

I particularly enjoyed the first evening meal as a group.
It was a wonderful ice breaker and a good opportunity to get
to know a little about everyone.

You managed to make it great fun and extremely informative.
It has confirmed my conviction that I want to get out of
IT business after 28 years and get into teaching.
